German 11's. Today we learned about Word Order when you change nouns to pronouns. We completed #14 and 15 from chapter 2.
German 12's reviewed the above with us and continued work on their children's book O Wie Schoen ist Panama -- YOU SHOULD BE ABOUT HALFWAY DONE!

Räuchermann
German 12's - We reviewed the difficulties around the questions words WER WEN and WEM. Assigned #14-17.
German 11's - We reviewed reflexive verbs again and keyed on four points. I handed out a double-sided yellow sheet with reflexive verb questions.
I ended class by showing everyone what a Räuchermann is.

Blaukraut ist Blaukraut und Brautkleid ist Brautleid
German 11's today reviewed the vocabulary on pp. 63 and 64. Then the completed a small written paragraph which was #13 on p. 64.
German 12's today continued work on their O Wie Schoen ist Panama Book.
We also discussed our lunch plans for next Wednesday afternoon: I'll provide Rouladen, blaukraut and either spaeztle or Knoedel. Nina will try and bring her Oma's Kakao recipe. Judith will see if she can make some homemade Apfelstrudel mit Schlagsahne.
Oh and we also tasted some wonderful Stollen. Dieser besonderer Weihnachtskuchen war von Herr Schwenck's Kueche! Vielen Dank Herr Schwenck!

Reflexive Verbs
Today, German 11 students contined to work toward mastery of understanding reflexive verbs. We worked hard during class and did a reflexive verb quiz. We also did two or three listening activities.
German 12's today -- we reinforced our understanding of Kapitel 6's main grammatical point -- and that is demonstrative pronouns. Students also completed #12 and #13 from Kap. 6. Finally German 12's handed in their compositions and began reading and working on 'O Wie Schoen ist Panama!'

Max und Moritz
Today I began class by reading the beginning of a couple of children's stories (Max und Moritz and O Wie Schoen ist Panama).
German 11 completed up to and including #5 on p. 57.
