Freitag fuehlt wie Montag

Today we chatted in German for about half an hour.  We discussed how today feels like Montag because German class yesterday felt like Friday.

German 11 worked on 14-18 from kapitel 3
German 12's worked on #19,20,21.

Monday there will be a substitute teacher and we'll continue working on chapter 3 and chapter 6.

Vivien ist hier in der Klass gewesen!

Vivien was our special guest today and we chatted with her in German for a bit.

German 11's -- I handed back chapter 3 homework #2-6.  Students completed a sheet on the narrative past tense which we corrected together.  Then students completed #7-11 in their books. On Thursday we'll learn about the irregular forms of the narrative past tense.

German 12's -- Panama is due this week. They also work on the Lesestueck from kapitel 6.

Guten Tag Herr Kenyon

We began class with a half hour discussion in German about the weekend and coming events.
Then German 11's took notes and learned about the narrative past p. 90-91. They then began doing the questions on p. 92.
In addition, I showed the German 11's their marks for the written section of the chapter 2 test.

The German 12's reviewed the vocab from chapter 6 and began working on the Lesestueck.

Mr. Kenyon came in for a visit and we learned that the difference between Norway, Sweden, and Denmark is a lot like the difference between Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

Freitag und der Lehrer ist nicht hier!

Today you worked with Ms. Vincent since I had an appointment in Salmon Arm.

German 11's completed up to and including p. 89. Next day we'll learn a vital element of German grammar: the narrative past.

German 12's had their last day to work on O Wie Schoen ist Panama.  All of you should be working on your composition.  The questions and compositions will be due next week.
