Today we learned that weak verbs need strong verbs -- and we learned that the strong verb always shows up at the end.
Furthermore, we learned that modal auxiliary verbs are weak verbs. We discussed all 7 modal verbs from Kapitel 6 and 7. Then students completed #7-11 from Kapitel 6 and handed it in.

Kapitel 5 study booklet and hot buns
Today I assigned the Kap. 5 answer booklet. Click here for the answer key.
We also laughed lots. Well I did.
When I asked Shey to give me the German word for weekend he said "Veek-end."
When I said that I once knew a lady who said, "I like my buns toasted, someone raised their eyebrows, which made me uncomfortable."
When I suggested to the class that they "FEEL the German" several girls, inappropriately asked where Eric was.
Bärbel used a swear word when I asked the question, "Wie findest du Marco?"
Dieter Dunkelman called Onkel Horst ein Dummkopf.

Halfway through Kapitel 5!
Today I handed back #6-7 which was marked and recorded.
We also completed #8-9 from chapter 5 which was taken in and corrected for marks.
We spent half an hour on Duolingo.
Then to finish class students worked on #10 - 15 which was assigned for homework.

Last day we took our chapter 5 opening notes and we listened toGabi und Klaus by die Prinzen. We also watched one of my fave German videos Ich liebe dieses Leben which is by the German band Juli.
