We began with an introductory oral activity.
We took some notes in which I taught the irregular verb 'essen'. I also reinforced the proper sentence openings: "Am Montag", "Zum Frühstück". The focus is on the words 'am' and 'zum'.
We also learned the concept of negation (which is discussed on p. 183). We completed a worksheet on negation. Absent students should begin the questions on p. 184.
We also learned about some German Weihnachten (Xmas) traditions including the demonic character of Krampus who not only is horrifically frightening, but apparently beats children on Dec. 6th if they've been bad.
